This dance studio- this wooden floor, they once felt like home to her. She used to glide, jump, step; every time her feet met the floor, they were bound to spring upwards into the air again. She never wanted to land. But then she did.
This dance studio, it feels so hollow towards her now. So foreign, so strange. She’s confined to these four wheels; this prison.
She’s forgotten the routines. She’s forgotten the steps that were once embedded deep within her muscles, her mind, and her heart. One by one, he’ll try to remind her of the steps she forgot.

www.youtube.com/jcubedproductionThis project has been lingering around for close to two years. We tried to film it twice, but both times we hit roadblocks, from schedule conflicts to running out of time with a dance studio rental. Assembling all the necessary parts to this film made it one of the most complex projects we’ve worked on; not necessarily because of the script, but because so many things were required to go right for this video to be able to come together. Looking back now, we feel like there was a lot more we could’ve done with this video, but we are proud nonetheless. This was one of the most fun, rewarding, and memorable experiences we have ever had filming. Thank you for watching.
We would like to thank the Glass Child for allowing us to use her song “Hypnic Jerk” for this project. She is wonderfully talented. Please check out her channel and support her!
